You shouldn’t take digestive enzymes when you are taking specific medications like blood thinners or diabetes medications. Digestive enzymes have been known to interfere with Warfarin. Enzymes, papain and bromelain can increase Warfrin’s blood thinning effect. If you are taking any of these medications it’s best to talk to your doctor before adding a digestive enzyme to your diet.
